2012 is over and we’re nearly done with January of 2013. I wanted to get this post up before the month was out. This is a compilation of my ten favorite photos I took in 2012 (excluding photos I took at South by Southwest since I was shooting them for the conference). I’ll note that I took far less photos with my DSLR, and far more with my iPhone (those photos are the square ones and were posted using Instagram).
Self portrait: With Faye I love shooting through sweet stunners, but the color in this photo is particularly awesome.
Claire Looking Through Ice I like how it’s blurry because of the ice, then Claire is super sharp, then the depth of field behind her is soft.
Flying Sebastian This photo pretty much captured Sebastian’s mood the whole weekend of Hannah and Ryan’s wedding in September. It’s like he’s hugging the whole wedding.
Sparkles for Hilary and Pat They were looking cute so I snapped this photo. I guess the lens caught a little sun flare, and it looks awesome.
Photo Faces Four of my favorite “people”, all making their classic photo faces.
“Good Times with Friend Times I know everyone in that photo and we didn’t set it up. It should be an ad for Bullitt in San Francisco.
It’s Not My Fault It’s a Light I love the light colors of the beer and the pool together.
Reflecting On The Louvre I’m a sucker for reflection photos. What can I say?
Oregon Coast This is one of the few far away landscape photos of mine that I love. The green, blue, and brown, all go so well together.
I Can’t Believe Everything’s Still Standing The open space outside of the truck makes for a cool frame, and the clutter within the truck is a cool juxtaposition.
If you’re interested in seeing more photos of mine I post them here:
