I do try to maintain conscious consumerism and be aware of the impact of my lifestyle, despite the jokes I made previously. And I know there are many positive changes I could make. And I suspect I've mostly taken steps backwards in the last year. I also wanted to link to this <a href="http://seattlest.com/2008/04/22/backdowntoearth.php" rel="nofollow">Seattlest Earth Day post</a> regarding carbon footprints, which appear to be inescapably large and unsustainable for US citizens. Still, I agree with Cara-he that making smart choices is worthwhile, despite somewhat insurmountable problems and relatively low impact of those choices. Hello again.
