So this post is mainly for my dad. I’m sure i’ll talk to him on the phone about all of this in 10min, but because no one really reads my blog yet I thought I would post this here. Claire and I would like to put 2 book shelves and a Trunk in our new apartment. It looks like my Dad want’s to be involved in the making of these, which is great news, because everything he makes is amazing, and I’ve had a piece of his furniture in my dwellings, all my life.

2 Shelves for living room : 9in D x 52in W x 24in H:  

Notes: 2in off the ground, bottom shelf 12in H, Top shelf 10in high, making the whole shelf 24in High. We know we’ll loose a little of hight on both of those shelves because of the thickness of the wood, we’re just looking for it to be no taller than 24in.   1 Trunk Seat for Bedroom: 35in W x 13in D x 19in H 1in of padding  

notes: So this is a seat of trunk, something that can hold some of our blankets and whatnot, and be sat ontop of. We imagine it opening from the top, where the seat would be, like a normal trunk would do. This is going to give us a great place to sit down as well as some extra needed storage.

Here is Claire’s sketch of the book shelves. We’re going to get rid of our tall one and replace it with 2 shorter ones, to go in 2 different spots in the room, I think this will really help open up the room a bit.
